Test Systems are Indispensable in Lots of Business Areas
The testing sector is undergoing major upheavals. Where test systems used to be reserved for end control and quality assurance in production, times have changed. Nowadays more and more parts of product design happen on virtual prototypes and models in a computer, where modern simulation meets established test methods. Long before a real prototype enters a test rig as a HIL (hardware in the loop) unit, virtual testing is performed on model- and software in the loop (MIL / SIL) objects. These changes make continuous testing a constant companion of modern product development.
Middleware Platforms: Ideally Suited for Test System Development and Implementation
Our partnership with the US based hardware manufacturer North Atlantic Industries allows us fast and direct access to state of the art I/O boards (especially for avionics) and sensor interface units. This close cooperation also enables us to quickly and reliably develop plug-ins and control routines for this hardware and to quickly integrate them into existing software and systems.
Numerous Test Systems Built by Renowned Suppliers are Already Based on Gamma V and Cooperation with RST
As a Tier One supplier for Diehl Aerospace GmbH we were part of developing and implementing a series of test systems for SFCCs (Slat / Flap Control Computers) for both product development and production control which play a significant role in realizing Airbus' next generation of civilian passenger aircraft. We are currently also working on new test systems both for the Boeing Dreamliner and the Eurofighter program.
As part of BreTeCe (Bremen Test Center), a consortium comprising 7 companies offering a wide combined portfolio from machine building to turnkey integration of test systems, we have been working on test systems for Airbus for several years now. BreTeCe was born from an eponymous research program under the patronage of Airbus that resulted i.a. in the creation of the FastWAN Node Controller. Here, Gamma V served as the runtime platform too.
Primarily aimed at the automotive sector, our partners at iSyst GmbH (also a fellow member of Embedded4You e.V.) offer a range of products from compact, high performance test instruments to complete test rigs, all of which are also based on the Gamma V platform.
